Pharaoh's Horses PH KL Atelier

Pharaoh’s Horses at SMTH by Else Kuala Lumpur

5 to 22 November 2026

PH KL Atelier is Singapore-born label Pharaoh’s Horses‘ first extended residency in Malaysia, and it doesn’t look like a shop. Founder and Creative Director Feroze McLeod designs every scarf as an artwork first, so at SMTH they hang one by one, like works in an exhibition. Tattoo culture, classic menswear, sport and music run through the collection. Clothing and accessories sit alongside, with pieces made only for Kuala Lumpur. Fresh from an eight-day Atelier in Hongdae, Seoul, PH now brings its world to KL. Every piece is available to take home. On view at Else Kuala Lumpur until 22 November.

Caffeinated by Flint Roastery

Mornings at the Atelier start with coffee. Flint Roastery opens at SMTH for the residency, pouring from 8am to 5pm daily. Settle in with a cup, then browse the scarves when the retail floor opens at noon.

What’s On at the Atelier

  • 6 November: KL Exclusive Drop with live DJs. Viewing and coffee from 8am, product launch at 12pm
  • 14 November: Three Buttons Trunk Show. Ready-to-wear and bespoke tailoring. DM @smth.by.else to book
  • 22 November: Live Music Sessions. Closing party with live music. Mark your calendar.
  • Dates: 5 to 22 November 2026
  • Retail: 12pm to 8pm daily
  • Cafe: 8am to 5pm daily

Dreaming of the Moon

Dreaming of the Moon with Softer Fields

The Moon Is My Mirror
An evening of listening, cinema and stories

About
For centuries, we have turned to the moon to hold what we cannot say. Love. Loneliness. Longing. It glows through the film fantasies of Georges Méliès and the romantic ballads of Teresa Teng. It lingers in the quiet melancholy of Nick Drake and the moonlit reverie of Debussy’s Clair de lune. The Moon Is My Mirror asks a simple question: how can something so far away feel so close?

What to Expect
This is a carefully curated evening of music, cinema, poetry and storytelling that follows the moon through our shared imagination. It moves from classical compositions and romantic ballads to folk, ambient and contemporary sound.

Settle in for vinyl listening, a screening of Georges Méliès’ A Trip to the Moon (1902), and the stories behind the artists and works that shape the night.

Evening Programme

  • 8:00 PM | First Listening Session (45 minutes)
  • 8:45 PM | Intermission (20 minutes)
  • 9:05 PM | Second Listening Session (45 minutes)
  • 9:50 PM | End of Programme

Else Presents: TTFGA

Beso Blana Bleber Brehi Brona
TTFGA at Else Kuala Lumpur

18 October to 1 November 2026

‘Beso Blana Bleber Brehi Brona’ is a homage to roots and family, and a sneak peek into the world of Ridduan Ismail, better known as TTFGA (“Your Happy Photographer”). After a decade shooting Malaysia’s models and style crowd, he turns the camera on his own family in Kelantan. Told through 14 images, it moves through floods, a grandmother with four husbands and a father’s last goodbye. Some frames make you laugh. Others catch you off guard. The title’s five Kelantanese words carry its moods: grandeur, abundance, unfiltered talk, deep desire and chaotic beauty. Every piece is available to collect. On view at Else Kuala Lumpur until 1 November.

TTFGA Takes It To Else: Photography Workshops with Ridduan

Step behind the lens with Ridduan himself. These workshops go beyond pretty pictures and into the craft: building a strong concept, telling a story and catching the unexpected, even on a tight budget. Each session opens indoors with a discussion, then heads out to shoot the streets of Chinatown. A phone or digital camera is all you need. The best shots of the day win a BYREDO goodie bag.

  • Dates: 24, 25, 31 October and 1 November, 9.30am
  • Fee: RM160 per person, prepaid
  • Spaces: 10 per session

To purchase or register for workshops, contact via WhatsApp linked in black button below.

Else Presents: Azymuth Live In KL

August 16th, 2026 – 8pm onwards

For over five decades, Azymuth have been in a league of their own. Blending jazz-funk, samba, and electronic grooves into what they call samba doido, the Brazilian trio created a sound that’s still impossible to pin down and even harder to resist.

From jazz heads and crate diggers to beatmakers and dancers, Azymuth’s influence runs deep. Their music has inspired generations, with collaborations alongside 4hero, Madlib, and Jazzanova, while producers like Theo Parrish and Ron Trent have put their own spin on the band’s legendary grooves.

With founding bassist Alex Malheiros carrying the band’s legacy forward, joined by keyboardist Dudu Viana and drummer Renato Massa (who recorded on their last album Marca Passo), Azymuth continue to sound as fresh as ever.

The undisputed kings of Brazilian jazz-funk will be joined by the queen of nu-bossa Sabrina Malheiros and this will be a rare opportunity for you to catch them live in our part of the world.

lululemon: Malaysia Clubhouse 2025

Post-race joy. Community in motion.

On 3 until 5 October, lululemon brought their Malaysia Clubhouse to Else Kuala Lumpur — a weekend gathering designed for runners, movers, and those who simply needed a moment to land.

From guided shakeout runs and recovery sessions to medal engraving and a well-earned post-race celebration, the event pulsed with energy and ease. Whether guests came to reset or reconnect, every moment was grounded in care, movement, and community spirit.

The Third Place

A month-long ode to in-between moments

In September, we introduced The Third Place — a quiet invitation to reflect on spaces that exist beyond home and work, where we meet ourselves and one another differently. Not quite a destination, not quite an escape, but a gentle in-between.

Throughout the month, Else transformed into a living canvas of these liminal moments. Rooms became refuges for reflection, conversations sparked across courtyards, and creative energy pulsed through stillness and shared silence.

A layered experience that unfolded slowly for those who stayed long enough to feel it.

A Guided Journey Inward

A somatic reset with Nishka Somatics

Held midweek at Somewhere, Level 7, this gentle session was an invitation to return inward — to slow down the pace and reconnect with the self through conscious movement and stillness.

Guided by Nishka, a trauma-informed somatic healing facilitator, the intimate experience blended floor-based somatic movement, trauma-informed breathwork, and guided hypnomeditation. Guests were guided to soften tension, listen to the body, and experience the quiet power of presence.

Two sessions were offered for in-house guests, giving space for deep release and grounded calm.

A breath. A pause. A reset.

A Gentle Escape with Studio Koze

As part of Global Wellness Month, we invited guests to a multi-sensory retreat designed to soothe the senses and honour the art of slowing down. Hosted in collaboration with Sumay Cheah from Studio Koze, the intimate session offered a journey into stillness — blending ritual, scent, and mindful moments.

Set within the calming surrounds of the Else Pool House, each guest experienced a curated flow: candle gifting, Furoshiki wrapping, journaling a note to self, and ending with a grounding tea ritual. With just 7 seats per session, the gathering was intentionally kept small — a rare pause in the city to simply be.

Matcha Workshop with PPP Collective

A calm, hands-on experience rooted in tradition and taste

We hosted a two-day sensory workshop led by PPP Collective, offering guests an intimate introduction to the quiet art of matcha. Set against the stillness of our Pool House, each session welcomed just eight guests to slow down, sip deeply, and reconnect, with three distinct matcha tastings, a guided whisking ritual using traditional tools, and a curated dessert pairing.

It was less about instruction, more about presence and guests left not only with new knowledge, but a newfound reverence for the everyday ritual of tea.
